– NLPLab, Linköping University

The Natural Language Processing research group (NLPLAB) at Linköping University was formed in 1983. The research focus is automatic text analysis and the creation of text-based language resources. The research is both basic and applied.

Some of our resources are the Linköping Translation Corpus, the LinES English-Swedish Parallel Treebank, now a part of the Universal Dependencies treebanks, and gold standards for automatic word alignment, automatic text summarization and semantic parsing. We have competence in the building and annotation of text corpora, creating tools for aligning textual data and extracting linguistic data for purposes such as translation, text simplification and de-identification of personal data. Within Linköping University we cooperate with researchers in behavioral science and the humanities.

K-centre

NLPLAB is a member of the distributed Knowledge Centre Swedish in a Multilingual Setting (CLARIN-SMS) that offers expertise in the automatic analysis of Swedish, and parallel data with Swedish as one of several languages.
